1,000,000 years is a long time in human memory, but a mere eyeblink to the universe. But in that eyeblink, the human race has gone from bronze tools to spanning the cosmos.

The Ranger is one of these evolved humans. He and his fellows carry on the mission laid out ages before by Valen...renewed by Sinclair, Delenn and Sheridan - To protect, to teach. To work for peace. The human race has evolved beyond physical form, adopting Vorlon-like encounter suits so as to not overwhelm the younger races they now teach.

We can only hope that they have learned from the missteps of their predecessors.

Physically, the Ranger appears to be a tall, bald, goateed human male who favors flowing, white robes. That is, when he's not in his encounter suit or cavorting around as a ball of white light.

"I am a Ranger. We walk in the dark places no others will enter. We stand on the bridge and no-one may pass. We live for the One, we die for the One. Entil'zha Veni!"

The Ranger is from Babylon 5, and is the property of JMS, TNT, etc. He appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in milliways_bar, from which no profit whatsoever is being made.


milliways_bar details: As of yet, the Ranger has not revealed anything like a birth name or true name. He has hundreds of names because the custom of humans of his time is, instead of asking another human their name, to give them one that is appropriate to what you see. If it wasn't for the fact that they're telepaths by this time, it would be extremely confusing. The Ranger is trying to curb this tendency while dealing with humans and others in Milliways, but it's highly variable which name he will give.
